It appears I'm not fit to DeviantaArt.  Yes, I'm using that as a verb.

I'm just not feelin' the stuff I've posted, plus I'm not even really keeping up with my so-called one-a-day challenge.  I'm taking my pictures down (because blarg), but I'll keep the account so I can still fav stuff and comment.  I still plan to get back on it and metamorphose into the absurdly popular online art phenomenon I was always meant to be... eventually.

edit: I forgot about that Inuyasha pic in my scraps.  I'm totally keeping that, it's the only thing I posted that I'm still proud of.

So the semi-finalists for the Outcast Odyssey contest were announced.

Guess who's not on the list. Added to the fact that I JUST got my butt kicked in Scrabble (my sis turned my 'quips' into 'equips' and used the e to make 'amaze' on a triple-word score to win) I'm not in a happy headspace.

But everyone has to take their lumps, I suppose. Anyway, the pieces chosen for semi-finals were really sick, I can't even throw shade. Everyone who made it deserves it. AND I feel pretty inspired by the whole ordeal, y'know? Ready to try more contests, push myself and all that.

Yeah! Back on DA! Me and this site have had an on-again-off-again thing for years.

So, I was in the mood for some art-browsing, don't know, just needed to see some cool and/or pretty stuff. It'd been months since I even came here, but then I did, and what do I see? An art contest that is freaking perfect for me! (Talkin' bout the Outcast Odyssey challenge.) Unfortunately, it was already under way and now I only have, like, five days to get cookin'. Ugh. I've got, like, ten great concepts... which I might have been able to squirt out in five days IF I was in the zone. But I'm not. So I'm just gonna focus on whatever I can 1) finish and 2) make good enough to even be worth entering.

How cool would it be if one of the first pieces of art I post on here wins a freaking contest? I really want that money ya'll, like, on the real.

Anyway, since I'm back on DA, I wanna make a thing out of it, y'know? I'm gonna try to draw a little more regularly than I have been (darn you, art-doldrums). For now, however, this place is gonna just have to look naked; I can spend time "nesting" on my new page, or I can actually work on some art. Gotta go ya'll. That money ain't gonna win itself.
